We finished this basement for a mostly retired couple who frequently have grandchildren visiting. They added a large family room, a fun hideout under the staircase, and an extra bedroom with bunk beds to accommodate their growing guests. The white built-ins at the bottom of the stairs and in the family room help make the space so bright and welcoming that it doesn t even feel like you re in a basement.
